- From 2003 forward, representing children and adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse by clergy, principals, teachers and others as well as exposing the institutions – such as dioceses, parishes as well as private, public and religious schools – which enabled them and covered up the abuse.
Constitutional & Civil Rights in Employment
- The Firm’s traditional area of practice and focus from the time of its founding in 1981, includes cases and claims against: state and local public employers such as the State of Delaware and its many agencies and departments, New Castle County, the City of Wilmington and other municipalities; federal level public employers such as the Secretary of Defense and the Pentagon; as well as private employers such as the DuPont Company and many others.
- From March 2020 forward, challenging government overreach and abuse of power under the false guise of protecting public safety.
- Since 1994, including cases and claims for police excessive force and other wrongdoing against the Wilmington Police Department, the Delaware State Police, smaller municipal departments throughout the state as well as others acting under color of law.
- Defending civil rights, plaintiffs and other attorneys, as well as civil rights organizations, from attacks and retaliation by government officials and others.

- family law (including divorce, child custody, visitation and grandparents’ rights);
- challenges to actions taken by the Delaware Division of Family Services;
- residential landlord-tenant law;
- consumer law;
- traffic citations;
- criminal law; or
- prisoner law (including post-conviction relief, civil rights and medical malpractice matters).
